As the fall season approaches, it's time for us to come together for our fall meeting to discuss important matters and plan for the upcoming months. I am pleased to announce that the fall meeting of Black Diamond Search and Rescue will be held on November 10th at 18:30 hours.
To ensure a comfortable and convenient venue for all, we have secured the VCA Highlands Animal Hospital located at 25011 Lee Hwy, Abingdon, VA 24211 as the meeting location. During the meeting, we will discuss various topics, including recent missions, training updates, and upcoming events and more. It is crucial that all members attend, as your input and participation are vital to the success of our organization.
SAR Academy Training
2-Weekend Training: 13-15 October, 2023 and 27-29 October, 2023 1900 Friday - 1600 Sunday
Hungry Mother State Park 2854 Park Blvd, Marion, VA 24354
Meals and Lodging will be provided.
Meals begin Saturday with Breakfast through Lunch on Sunday.
Lodging is in bunkhouse style cabins which are assigned upon arrival and provided for Friday and Saturday nights of both weekends. You will need to provide bedding and towels.
Classes begin at 1900 on Friday and conclude by 1600 on Sunday of both weekends.
You will be contacted via email with a confirmation of acceptance once registration closes and consultation with Group Training Officers occurs.
